Today you are not able to come to school because it is toooooo hot, so the staff at school have come up with lots of ideas for you to try – a bit of television and tablet is fine, but not all day!

• Film your own weather report! You could make a map and stand in front of it, or film yourself “on location” telling everyone how hot the weather is. 
• Design (and make if you can!) your own ice cream - what toppings would you put on it? How much would you charge?
• Ice cube painting - freeze water with food colouring in it in an ice cube tray. When frozen, use the ice cubes to paint on paper.
• Constuct a shady den with blankets and sheets.
• Maths - play with containers of water in the paddling pool or bath. What containers hold the most? Are they the tallest? 
• Create a poster about how to stay safe in the sun.
