SeaCity Museum
We had a brilliant time on our trip to the SeaCity Museum as part of our Titanic Topic. We immersed ourselves in a range of activities in the education room. It was great to spend time looking at artefacts, exploring the sinking of the Titanic during our own science investigation, deciding who would get a place on the lifeboat and finally matching the descriptors to the rooms. The final task included an opportunity to smell some scents from different rooms on the ship, some of which were not pleasant! Some of our friends had the opportunity to take on the role of specfic passengers or crew members who were on board the Titanic and we really enjoyed watching them dress up. Our tour around the museum gave us the opportunity to not only share our wealth of knowledge but also learn even more facts! Mrs Cotton was very impressed with us! A highlight of our day was definitely being able to steer the ship and work as firemen shovelling coal in the boiler room. We behaved beautifully on our trip and had so much to share with Mrs May when we returned to school.
