Buryfields' Daily Dance like a Doofus (or a Dude) Desert Island Disco
Dancing can really lift our moods, even when we are at our most glum, sad or angry, so we will be posting some good songs to dance to. It might be a new song, or a really old song that the grown-ups danced to when they were young way back in the 90s... We would love to see any videos of your moves on Seesaw!
Tuesday 2nd June
Mrs Fawcett has chosen Boney M and Daddy Cool today - there are some fantastic dance moves in the video!
Thursday 21st May 2020
Miss Gilbert has nabbed the DJ spot again with this classic - the Macarena!
Wednesday 20th May 2020
Double today - Miss Gilbert has chosen Cotton Eye Joe by Rednex because she is classy like that, and Mrs Wrightson has chosen Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole whose birthday is today.
Tuesday 19th May 2020
Honestly you can't get the staff can you?? Here are today's and yesterdays dances - entirely Miss English's fault!
Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson's Up Town Funk and Faith by Stevie Wonder and Ariana Grande

Miss Gilbert has chosen this 90s classic - C'est la Vie by B*witched!
Monday 11th May 2020
Today's Dance Disco is chosen by Mrs Bell and it is a great one with which to start the week! Today's offering is Justin Timberlake and Can't Stop The Feeling. Have fun!

Today's Dance Disco is a genuine classic - Glenn Miller's In the Mood, just to get us in the mood for tomorrow's VE Day celebrations!
Wednesday 6th May 2020
Mrs West has chosen this old school classic - Rockin All Over the World by Status Quo.
Tuesday 5th May 2020
Go ahead and Jump! Off your sofa but don't break anything please! More rock this week - this time from Van Halen - so more air guitar, more air drums and today also air keyboarding!
Monday 4th May Option 1
Happy Star Wars Day! Option 1 is the Star Wars cantina song, but Iolo and I got a bit bored after a while so we are also offering an alternative... May the Force be with you all.
Monday 4th May Option 2
As requested by Mrs Mepham and Georgia, your alternative Dance like a Doofus track is Bon Jovi's Livin' on a Prayer. We think the lyrics are quite apt but we are hoping we are more than 'halfway there' in terms of being closed! We are expecting full air drum/guitar and emoting to this one!
Friday 1st May 2020
After a miserably wet week, we think Freddie's choice today is the perfect song - I'm Still Standing by Elton John!
Thursday 30th April 2020
Mrs Williams is DJ today and has chosen one of our favourites - especially after the Year 2 leavers assembly last year! Today's Dance like a Doofus is Reach for the Stars by S Club 7.
Wednesday 29th April 2020
Get out your legwarmers and your leotards and get ready to emote...the baton has passed to Miss Gilbert who had A LOT of suggestions but today we have plumped for her classic choice of Irene Cara's 'What a feeling'! Luckily Miss Gilbert is in teaching today so the children in school will no doubt be getting a masterclass of pirouetting and leaping!
Tuesday 28th April 2020
Today's choice is 'Shake it Off' by Taylor Swift, chosen by Miss O'Neill, but we have chosen the Zumba Kids version rather than Taylor's as we thought it more appropriate and fun to dance along to!
Monday 27th April 2020
Mrs Brice is up today and has chosen 'Don't Stop Me Now' by Queen. We particularly like the line 'I'm having such a good time, I'm having a ball' which we are sure applies to everyone in these funny old times...Anyway - is it certainly a cracking tune to dance away to!

Hello everyone - today it is Mrs Wrightson's choice and she has chosen a brilliant song from the olden days (well, 30 years ago!) which is REM's Shiny Happy People.

Today is Mrs Mahoney's choice and she has chosen Pharrell Williams' Happy! We hope that this makes you happy too - send us your videos (and there are some good moves to follow if you watch the video!)
Wednesday 22nd April Dance like a Dude Disco
After the reaction of Miss English's son to Sly and the Family Stone's Dance to the Music (clearly he is a philistine), he has added his choice of Little Mix's Black Magic. Take your pick for today's dance!
